13 February 2024 in Grenoble, France – Aedvices, an independent company specializing in the design and verification of microelectronic devices and embedded systems, announced the creation of a new entity in Campinas, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
The brand new Aedvices design center in Brazil is strategically located in a time zone that facilitates seamless interaction with both Europe and the Americas. Aedvices will leverage the expertise of its team in Brazil to bolster its presence in the Americas and enhance support for European clients. This local support will be crucial in maintaining the quality of Aedvices’ verification training offerings.
A market in full expansion, grappling with recruitment tensions
‘The opening of this center in Brazil aligns with our goal of becoming a key player in the design of complex integrated circuits.
The demand for design and verification capacity is increasingly high. With the talent shortage in France, we have long considered opening a center internationally. We chose Brazil because the corporate culture there closely aligns with the French culture. My interactions with students at INP Phelma have allowed me to appreciate the strong R&D expertise of Brazilian engineers.‘ declared François Cerisier, founder and CEO of Aedvices.
Brazil is indeed recognized for its universities and dynamic activity in microelectronics. Many semiconductor companies are established in Brazil.
A team of five engineers dedicated to Aedvices’ projects
Currently composed of a team of 5 senior engineers in design and verification, this development center will be an extension of the company’s current engineering force. ‘The team seamlessly integrates with our values of expertise and skills sharing, and this collaboration with the French team is a real asset to perpetuate our long-term vision.’ adds François.
‘Former colleagues at NXP, we then worked as a team of independent engineers, serving clients worldwide. We are delighted to join a fast-growing company like Aedvices,’ says Fabio Silva, Director of Aedvices Brazil Design Center.
‘Recently, our expertise has been dedicated to the development of highly critical automotive integrated circuits. Now, we will be working on complex projects across all market sectors served by Aedvices. We are eager to effectively support Aedvices’ clients’ projects,’ specifies Fabio Silva.
The opening of this new development center is part of the company’s growth vision. ‘We aim to double our turnover within 2 years. To achieve this, we plan to triple the staff at our Brazilian center in parallel with our development in France.’ announces François.
